The other Chris has never actually played Katamari to my knowledge, so while Zone now knows the bliss and insanity of your first time, his namesake does not. This should really be corrected, but I think getting high on acid would have a similar outcome.

I had a lot of fun writing the king on this one, as well as giving the last panel it's unique overkill insane vibrance. In retrospect, I probably could've toned that down a bit so that that King wasn't blowing up a random city, but that wouldn't serve me so well down the line. I think a large problem of the entire set is that I tried too hard to keep things in line with where I'd like them to go, or, in the Borderlands entry's case, gave a later bit of information before the setup proper. I really should've settled more on one group of events and stuck with them, instead of hopping around trying to demonstrate artistic variety (though admittedly, I got into challenging myself in that department). The winner got it on writing above all else, and comics in general follow that, but keeping things brief tends to shove me into corners I need a lot more work before I'll feel comfortable working in.

All the same, writing the King? Loads of fun. I did the best I could to emulate his passive mannerisms that end up making him so entertaining in Katamari proper. His head was a pain, as was just learning to draw him in general, but casting him as a dealer of illegitimate goods put him in the sort of villainous role I often see him as being in anyway.
