I love it.
I love it.
It needs a tiny face.
It's so good tho like how u do dis?
Ha I will have to keep making more of those tiny faced guys; people seem to like them. Also, you just have to keep drawing and drawing...my art from years ago was horrible. It gives me hope that I will be at the level I want to be if I keep going.
The dust particle effects (or is it snow?) add a lot to the image, I like how the shapes change. The snow, rocks, and branches at the bottom are very well done, but I actually find them slightly distracting because they move my eye away from the wolf. (Which I'm pretty sure is your focus.) This piece seems like a less-is-more kind of piece, since you established most of the background as an impression of mountains and the dichotomy between dark and light brings the spotlight too your singular subject which is pretty much the most detailed thing in your scene. (That's a good thing.) In my opinion you don't need to add anything more, and I myself would perhaps have less stuff in the bottom.
I also love the style of your wolf. It's got a larger scruff and smaller body compared to a live wolf with those body proportions, but it works really well and is so unique. The fur is textured so well. Great, great job on the wolf. And the grass is very well done too. The light beam really makes the piece come to life.
Wow! Thank you so much. I got the idea of the snow/particles from the windows in Skyrim. I agree with the ground being too distracting. Maybe making it darker, except in the lighted parts, would help the focus shift back to the wolf. Again, than you for the critique!
