from the mind that brought you half naked Spartans in slow motion (300) and big blue radioactive wang (watchmen) comes.......owls!but guess what? these Olws kick ass!! The legend of the Guardians is a beautiful, and at the same time a very dark movie, but that's the type of kids film i havent seen a while. i mean who knew you could take Owls and make them that bad ass,and this is from the studio that did "happy feet". but unlike in happy feet, where penguin solves their problems by dancing, here owls solve theirs by shoving their talons into their necks. awesome!
one thing though: i think Zack Snyder really , like really gets a hard on every time he uses that slow mo/rev up effect. i mean it works well in action scenes, but your not a minute into the opening scene and you get a slow mo into feather, for no reason at all (other than to remind you that you're watching a Zack Snyder film).oh yeah and get ready to see Superman in slow motion, because hes going to direct the new reboot. ill get on that "this..is... KRYPTON!!!" comic .
so yeah, go see it if you can.
