This was a fun commission for a friend. A Paintover of someone else's sketch. :)
The character is the only original part of the scene, the rest was painted in by me.
The story here is... mostly left up to you!

Good character design achieved with a good texture and color range appropriate.
A pity that the quality between the different elements of this scenario this so poorly balanced and even if your interest is in the character must not forget that a good combination of elements is always nice and give more consistency to work.

I should have taken more time with drawing the background... I quickly sketched it in and went from there to paint, which turned out better than you might imagine, but, if I had taken more time on the details in the initial stages, it would probably look a bit more refined and provide that consistency you mention...

This is going to get lots of views for obvious reasons...
I mean just at how well the toadstools are drawn, I like how the grass and everything else is out of focus which draws attention to the toadstool in the middle.

the way you have done this is fantastic!... i cant really flaw the fairy or how you have made the feel of true light... just the background and other objects dont seem to be up to the same standard which is why im giving this a 9/10.... :(
That's cool.. The focus of this piece was on the pixie, and less on the background. Some background objects are meant to be out of focus, and some foreground elements are meant to be simplified. However, I agree, it's not a perfect 10..
