The shading is great (i mean look at that hair :D) and the eyes came out fine. however when it came to the other parts of the face it wasn't that good. Thom is not the best when it comes to symmetry in the face but I think there was too much thickness and size on the lip and nose. For your first try it went great though, you can always boost yourself up on how great of a job you did shading :D and everything else but the nose and mouth.
