This was sort of a speedpaint. Took me almost exactly 2 and a half hours. Though most of that time was spent on the smoke because I did some various things before I decided to make it smoke-like.
Also new watermark, what do you think?

You might have actually helped me out on something.
I was going to say that the hand should be clearer because it's closer, but it just hit me that if you're focusing your eyes on the person's head, it would be that blurry that close wouldn't it? For some that didn't register earlier, my mind is a deceptive fiend haha.
Good work :P.
Well yeah, you're right. Though I should have spent a bit more time on the close-up hand. It ended up looking a bit motion-blurred too as it it was in motion. Still the white and sharp highlights sort of ruins that feel since they are so clear. So either I should have blurred out the highlights a bit, or spent more time on adding some detail to the hand.

This really need to be frontpaged. I love everything about it, the perspective, the expressive strokes, and for the most part, the character. Im currently working on trying to paint and if i can someday make something this cool in the amount of time you did, i'd be a happy person. 5/5
Thanks man, glad you like it! Though one of my pictures actually got featured quite recently on the front page and I don't think they would like to feature the same person too often. Don't worry, practice makes perfect. Just train daily and study your surroundings, other artwork and try to make sense of how they did certain things. I can also suggest this tutorial if you're interested in learning a similar technique to mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi_3HymnpXE

you made this in 2 and half hour?!?!?!
WHAT? i need like 9 or 10 hours to make one of my artworks. and there are not even halv as good as this! wow!
thats amazing...
Yeah, most of my paintings usually take around 6 hours if I spend time on them. The thing is that we use different techniques, I see that you have clear and sharp black lines, a anime cel-shaded sort of look. I'm pretty sure that takes more time too, since all the lines must then be quite perfect and I guess you make use of tools like the "lasso" and such. Quite time consuming if you ask me, I make use of this technique, speeded up things for me alot when I learned it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi_3HymnpXE&context=C47a8bb7ADvjVQa1PpcFPFejC0lnO0jfOFlzv1pcXbMwiLnPu4H7Q=
Ofcourse it will give a different result and style and does maybe not fit anime the most. But if you want quicker results and wanna try something new, then I strongly suggest watching it along with his other few tutorials :).
