I love this, it really makes you think too. Not only is it a really really good piece of art but it wonders about the inspiration for this.
It makes me think, at least, are they going to battle or coming from? Are the victors or are they in shame? has it even started yet? Great job.

This is a very well done Picture! I get the Grim feeling encompassed here, and going by the title, that feeling was intended. Shading and proportions were great, and the only thing i would like to bring up is the knight second to right that has his helmet open has no depth of a face. It looks believable, yet my eyes are drawn to it because of the blackness there. I understand the idea of it, to keep him annonymous to agree with the grim feeling/ but it looks like there's no face at all. Other than that, I like the way you made the two in front look like they know that something bad is coming due to their posture. Even the horses ears are laid back. I love it. 9/10. Favorited.
