On 23rd June 1991, the very first Sonic game was released in Europe and North America for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis, and a blue hedgehog has been running at the speed of sound ever since. And 25 years later, this same blue hedgehog and his series are now celebrating their anniversary !

So I decided to just make a "quick" and "simple" fanart/wallpaper, to, at least, celebrate this special day.

I used an existant Sonic image and simply drew over it in Adobe Animate (because I was too lazy to draw Sonic by myself, I also don't know how to draw a cool looking Sonic :/ ) and coloured it, I also wanted to try, for the first time, 3 levels of cel shading, as well as using gradients, and then used Photoshop to do the final edit, notably the background (which is from Sonic Generation), and adding a logo (http://fav.me/d9ltvks) made by NuryRush (http://nuryrush.deviantart.com/).
