Hmm..... anatomy....

Honestly, I enjoy this picture, I really do. Just about everything about it is great, and is definitely deserving of praise, especially the wings.

Ironically, it's the wings that have merited such a low-ish score. The wings themselves are great, their placement, however, is not. If you look at just the legs and head, you would be led to believe that the scales that are jutting out towards the viewer are the belly of the dragon, but then you look at the wing arms.

...and they're both on the same side.

So, to amend my previous statement, I believe that it's actually the both wings AND the legs that are the most off-putting part of this piece, especially in conjunction with the head, which due to the perspective and angle of the neck looks... well, weird, and looks like the wings should be on either side of it, not both on one side.

Looking at this piece, specifically the legs and head, the row of scales previously mentioned look like the belly, but are in fact the side, at least I believe. Given the fact that the crest on the back of the dragon's head goes off to the left, and not away from the viewer, confirms that the wing arms are in fact on the front (although they still look pretty damn weird so close together), and the "belly" is the side.

So... what's wrong with the legs? It looks like you DID in fact start with the "belly" being that actual underside of the dragon, but then changed it halfway through so you could make the picture smaller and still see both of the wings.

Unless it has two wings on each side, which... no. Just no.

Altogether, some big problems with anatomy and perspective, bit otherwise the composition and technique are fantastic. I hope to see improvements in the future.
