A tastefully well placed guitar.
Those that browse the art forums, and have seen my thread, will realize that I've been messing with this picture for a while now. I think I'll call it a day on this one though.
What you probably didn't notice, that I personally like about this one is.. I think this picture has a good mix of reds and greens. And the black makes the colors stand out even more.

All you have to do to get a high score and many views is make porn or close to it. Just make the icon a pair of boobs or a body of a girl and you will get a man who sees it and start slobering and slame his hand of the mouse to click on it to view the picture. On a more serious note I love the detail put in. That guitar must've been a pain in the ass with all the little decals on it. The color scheme works out really neatly as well. Indeed, I drew it the way I felt like it should be drawn. It helps to understand the personality of the character a little bit. Then it makes more sense about why I did this.
The shading, shape, and everything else is awesome on this art. I noticed that there's a red glow on her skin, and that looked pretty nice. You have awesome drawing skills, man.

Great colour scheme. The style has a fresh modern feel. I'm not normaly into anime/hentai style art but I like this. (My inner pervert thanks you for the nudity and curses the stupid guitar for getting in the way)

Without leaving an extremely long comment, you even mentioned yourself pose/concept. There's other things such as expression, hair detail, lighting, choice of color, etc that make this picture work, that's all I'm try to say. Of course the obvious in this one is nearly blinding of the other stuff, so it's fun to see how different people view it. And why different people like it or not.
But I plan to release all kinds of games coming up. And let's just say.. you'll be able to somehow tell that it was I who made them XD

Yes, yes it does. I've been working on it. Hopefully my latest stuff that's otw will give a better show in that area. I've been getting better results using Anime Studio, which allows for more fluid movements than I get with Flash.
What happened to that guitar? It only has like 10 frets and then it just stops and the rest of the bridge is blank. Besides that, this is great artwork! I wont take off of the score for the guitar thing cuz that's a nice package she's got there.

Love the picture over all, having a little trouble with the guitar's positioning though (I think I'm just being overly observatory but...) I feel like the guitar's purpose would be more obvious if Maiko was holding it in position covering up her goodies, you know what I mean? I've noticed something else too (again me being overly observatory but I can't help it x_x...) alot of times when you draw the arms there really thin in comparison to the legs, hips, breast etc. but I know its anime/manga style so something's bound to be out of proportion (in a good way though) still diggin your stuff man. Keep it up :)

Yeah I hear ya, That indeed would make a better pic, "if" my original intent was her covering herself, you have to take into consideration that from start to finish of this picture there was no guitar at all. Perhaps I can have her doing something crazy with the guitar in the future :o
You make a good point about the size of parts of her body in relation to other parts. Good eye, I never really noticed until you mentioned it. I just got use to drawing stuff like this, but it's pretty extreme in this picture isn't it. I guess I was trying to do some perspective here. I'll pay a lil' bit more attention to this in the future. Thanks for the review!

I read a bit through what other people were saying, and I happened to come across something that basically said that you did this all with pixels/brush/pen/whatever.
Good God, I couldn't imagine the amount of time that must have been put into this project if you did it like that.
Did you use a mouse or something else to make it a bit easier?
Anyway, great job on the project, it turned out great and I'm looking forward to viewing more of your work in the future (seeing as how since this is the first picture that I've seen, you may still be using the same method to make other pictures).

Yeah, it takes forever and a day, and lots of patience to not rush through it. If there's and easier way to do it let me know? I have a tablet which makes it less hellish but I use pen tool in photoshop so much it barely matters because I'm not freehand drawing the lines, and the lines take the longest. One of the ones I'm currently working I'm recording though(most of it). So you can see it in action o.o

lets start on the guitar... the pink knobs is pointing at a strange angle compaired to the black ones... the top of it is very strange as well... the colours are bright and shiney i know why that guitar is there... mainly to cover up the hand seen as what i can see of it isnt your best work... apart from them problems... i really love how you have done the hair, the eyes this time round dont seem so peircing and the tones are perfect... i feel that her legs are lacking shading somewhat as it seems rather left out... love how you shaded the stocking seen as black is a hard colour to do without making it look grey... once again another nice piece... well done vortex and keep it up :3

Where are the pink knobs lol? Forget the hand lol, the guitar covers between the legs. The hand is just a added casualty. Making the guitar at some angle wasn't working out for me. The lines aren't as smooth as I would like them to be. Yeah perhaps the legs could use a bit more shading in a few places, but not so much from the guitar. it isn't even there really at all.
The guitar I never really liked much, but it looks correct horizontal with the end of it off the screen, which is all I'm going to need for the game I originally created it for :O Overall, I think a guitar (as crappy as it is) looks better than cropping a section of the picture out, or putting some box there. Thanks for the review. I may post one more in the near future, but I've been working on flash games 0.0

You opinion is noted and respected, however I disagree. It's a cartoon, let's make a huge fuss about what she is doing as if she is a real person. The nature of this character I created is kinky/slutty to begin with, so the picture is fitting in every aspect.

No it was done completely with pixels in photoshop, the lines were created using pen tool lines as guides, so that may count a little bit. Thx for the review. Indeed the comments about the content are definitely not worth the fuss.
