This is a drawing I did in early 2010 that is basically my own twist on Blizzard's Terran Marine wallpaper. This depiction of a medic took 30 hours to draw and has since been featured on the Blizzard Art Gallery, as well as many other gaming sites and magazines.
It was a birthday gift for a friend, Casualzombie!

Epic
Thought it was a photo when I first saw it. This is amazing, I can see why this has been the highest rated artwork in a long time. Just annoyed to see how many idiots accuse you of art theft before researching about it. "omG I saW this b3 *rates 0." I can see how you even wrote your initials on the green laser. Can't believe how people think http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4qj447&s=7 is the original. Seriously? I've seen your artwork, and this fits the style of your work. The image here looks like somebody copy and pasted somebody else's face onto your work. Doesn't even look right. And the most irritating part is that the person who stole your artwork still has YOUR INITIALS on the art. Think about somebody before you rate somebody's hard work down.

I've noticed something about some of your stuff.
The non-full size view just doesn't do it the proper justice. When you actually see how large the image is and how much detail is in it, it's a little mind-boggling. For example: in this picture the fading and peeling paint on the edges of the suit just adds that something that makes it seem too real to be a drawing. Great stuff.

The peeling paint is done by a combination of a texture overlay and painting. I just painted the shape of the peeling paint and used a "bevel and emboss" blending option. Reduced the transparency and hurray! peeling paint ^^ I'm glad you noticed the texture, which is something I pay a lot of attention to when I draw!
