This is a drawing I did in early 2010 that is basically my own twist on Blizzard's Terran Marine wallpaper. This depiction of a medic took 30 hours to draw and has since been featured on the Blizzard Art Gallery, as well as many other gaming sites and magazines.

It was a birthday gift for a friend, Casualzombie!

You can see the making-of and get a higher resolution version on my Deviantart page, http://vonschlippe.devian

Hope you guys like it! This is my first post on Newgrounds (made my account today!)

EDIT: holy crap thanks for the FP! I've uploaded the making-of in my gallery! If you're interested in the creation of this picture, go have a look! Thanks everyone! ^^

Wow... just breathtaking.
You said you worked 30 hours on this...I mean it just doesn't seem possible.
Why you aren't a video game designer or something of the sort is beyond me.

THis is probably the highest quality image i have ever seen drawn. This is amazing, as is all of your other art. I can't even imagine how hard this was. Again, amazing job!

If I didn't know better, I would have thought that this was a photo. You have crafted the first thing I have seen in the art portal that has photographic realism, it is amazing to know that people can do this with computers, or even their plain hands and a pencil. How long did it take you to make this piece of perfection?

This is great. The entirety of this mugshot is great. There is all but one flaw.
The color use is magnificent. The realism in this work is shocking. The greatest part of this work is her face. That is a human face, teeming with life, looking at you with eyes reflecting the soul. An artificial man. A literal still life. A near-perfect capture of the magnificence of reality seeded onto paper. The light, the metal, the skin, it is all so realistic. With a face you can feel, lips you can kiss, and beauty that can be seen, this is without doubt one of the greatest works in the art portal.
