This is a drawing I did in early 2010 that is basically my own twist on Blizzard's Terran Marine wallpaper. This depiction of a medic took 30 hours to draw and has since been featured on the Blizzard Art Gallery, as well as many other gaming sites and magazines.

It was a birthday gift for a friend, Casualzombie!

You can see the making-of and get a higher resolution version on my Deviantart page, http://vonschlippe.devian

Hope you guys like it! This is my first post on Newgrounds (made my account today!)

EDIT: holy crap thanks for the FP! I've uploaded the making-of in my gallery! If you're interested in the creation of this picture, go have a look! Thanks everyone! ^^

First upload?! Wow!! Wish my stuff was this good!! and 30 hours too!! I don't think I could sit down and work for that long on one piece :P
How long have you been into Artwork anyway??
I'd just like to say, this piece is one of the most realistic pieces I've EVER seen;
The mixes, gradients and overall smoothness of the color is just superb!
And the attention to detail; the wires, the metal, the screws, it really is just astounding!!
Might take a look at that Behind the Scenes vid and find out just how you create such a masterpiece!! XD

Vonschlippe responds:

Very glad you like it! :D
I've been drawing using pencil and paper since I was very young, but I never really did go for photorealism. I started coloring my drawings on photoshop somewhere around 2006, and around four year later I painted this. I was 19 years old at the time.

Thank you for your kind words!
