Another portrait of a girl with short hair. Anyone starting to see a pattern? I need to stop making these >_< Sheesh!!

12 hours in the making, textures from, no references used except for the shirt!

Hope you all like it!!

I thought I had already reviewed this piece, but I see that I am wrong. This is simply amazing... the amount of detail in all aspects is awesome. I am a sucker for eyes, so obviously I love the amount of detail in her eyes, but even the off-centered pendant, the clavicle, the shadow under her right bra strap, the detail in her veil, especially the shadow and how it stretches around her hat... everything is just very well done. Her nose, mouth, and chin kind of make it look like her head is turned very slightly to her right, whereas her eyes make it look like she's looking straight at the viewer, but not everyone has perfect features and the difference is so slight that it's very believable.

Overall a really, really nice piece. Definitely favourited.

Interesting indeed.

Very nicely done here, but if I may give you one critique.
The shading is too obvious, if I may explain, basically you may wish to try adding a darker tone, from a distance this may look real, regardless it's impressive, very much so. But like I said, try going for a richer grain and tone next time round.

Vonschlippe responds:

Thank you for the critique!

I can agree with what you are saying, although I am not sure I understand what you mean by "richer grain". The graininess in the picture is deliberate, although my personnal feeling is that I uploaded a version of this drawing that is too large, as I see many problems with the full-size view! Perhaps smaller would have indeed been better... :)
