Symbolism! I love the field of vision effect with this image, it brings the focus no only on the noose, but on the lone figure that appears to be either approaching or leaving it behind. Which raises the question, which is he doing? It's sort of like a glass is half full or empty trope. Anyway I love this image, the colors are dim to add a great dark atmosphere to this image.
Good point, I've added silhouette at the end and I think in the end he's leaving tied rope - changed his mind, going for victory. Reaching some violence eventually.
