Haha this is great! So well done.
Easter island head? Over 9000!
Some serious metaphoric things going on maybe? Someone could read into it if they wanted.
I keep it simple though I like the, aesthetics.

Anyway awesome piece VerdRage! Makes me want to play fallout, like I need an excuse... :P
(or maybe read Collapse by Jared Diamond, humm)

Err, as for reviews, I can't find any fault. There is some really realistic illumination in the foreground from the figures torch and the tessellation of the polygons on the ground makes a good texture.

The lighting is what really stands out for me in this picture, the sign and the line of lamps, amazing.

If I can offer one suggestion, and it's only based on my opinion and what I think might work (you're clearly a much better artist than me). You could add some horizontal separation to show the different planes of distance, it would add to the depth of the scene. To pull the viewer into the background through it's cool atmosphere. (hopefully that makes some sense, it's hard to describe) I just mean the very foreground, obviously the bottom of the page is closer in the picture, but I'm thinking "stairs" from the first outcrop of rock on the left, then midway where the torchlight hits the ground...

Urgh, sorry I've rambled badly. I'm going to burrow my way back into newgrounds now, bye :)

VerdRage responds:

Wow, I'm stunned by this comment. :D Don't tell me - I also love Fallout series so I know that feeling. ;) Glad to read that all this things can be seen [especially head for some reasons]. Also thought about some sign on building that could point on corrupted parts of society but I liked it this way, more "opened" for interpretation or just simply unnecessary - ironic Happyville says it all. Good points - I was just lazy and stopped on clouds/mist/dust/whatever but I have urge to draw some much more detailed landscape. Excellent review, I'm happy to read this. ;) Totally worth drawing that! ;D
