Hello again, dear viewers! I've been away for a while, but I've come back, and I've brought with me the reason I haven't uploaded anything in a while.

A while back, I posted that I was working on making a video game, using hand drawn sprites for the characters.
Well, after working with it for a bit, I realized that me hand drawing everything on my own would be an unrealistically arduous task, so I decided #$@% it! Go full 3D!

So, here we have the first of many 3D models that will be implemented into the game, starting with Andrahzi Quin'tal (formerly Andromalia), one of the primary antagonists of the game.

As the title implies, there is meant to be some confusion about whether or not Andy here is hand drawn or a 3D model.
My goal is create a game that looks and feels like a fluid, living comic book that's as indistinguishable as possible from traditional 2D animation.
The art style is meant to be rough and sketchy with bold black lines accentuating divisions where necessary.

This collection of screenshots is running inside of the Unity game engine, with all of the post-processing effects being rendered in real time.
In fact, there aren't even any textures on the model. Every bit of detail that's on Ms. Quin'tal is calculated and drawn on by the in-game shader, giving me an incredible amount of control over nearly every visual aspect of the game's art style so that I can make tweaks, large or small, whenever I need to.

So, what do you think?
Is the "comic book-esque" art style convincing?
Is it clearly noticeable that it's a 3D model and I'm just fooling myself and should just go cry in corner?
What looks good? What doesn't?
