This is a feather that fell off of a crow when I went camping about two years ago. To this day I still carry this feather with me at all times for my sketches. With it I dust off all of the eraser shavings that gathers on the page so I don't have to do it with my hand and risk staining the page with any of my natural oils or extra dead skin cells. I have used it considerably and as such it looks very warn down and beaten, but it still gets the job done. There have been countless times where I thought that it was going to bend or break, but it has yet to do so. It has stayed with me through the good and bad and for that I immortalize it today in the painting you see above.
