once long a ago there lived a small family of dragons
they lived in peace with the nearby villages, even providing protection from invaders,

the villagers would give offerings, but the dragon would only take what they needed.
while out looking for food the father dragon would stumble upon things like abandoned castles or ships. he would go inside looking for food and would find these strange shiny stones. the farther would collect them as gift for his wife and children.

all seemed well untill a group of strangers marched into their land. at first the dragons didnt mind for they came preaching and show the people how to defend themselves from evil.
but one night a being with violet eyes came and warn the dragon that the people will betray them. they would destroy them for the stones they had. the being told them that they must attack first or be destoryed.

unable to believe that the villagers would do such a thing the farther left to the villages bringing along with him some of the stone as a peace offering.

but when he arrived he was met with spears and swords, he was tied down and tormented by those he ounce protected.
the farther learn that the strangers were telling the villagers that all dragons are children of evil whose soul purpose it control the people and take all the riches.
the strangers used the stones as proof of the dragon's greed. the try to plead with them telling them it was all a misunderstanding.

then he felt a sharp pain in his heart. at first he thought he was stabbed, but it was his family calling out to him. the farther finally manage to free himself and flew back to his family.

but he was to late. lay before him was the mutilated bodied of his family and the villager cheering as they carried the stones and their heads. blinded by fury the farther attack the villagers and then descended on all the villages.

as he charged down he was met by the being with violet eyes. he told him that he would help him take vengeance on those who took his family. but he must pledge alliance to him and him only. he did and was given a new body, a body that can not be pierced by any weapon and forever filled with hatred and sorrow.
the being gave him dragon soldiers to help him lay siege.

Duke Zundung leads Prides Flammenwaffers, they go forth destroying villages and cities that are fueled by greed. Duke Zundung would have is soldiers bring him the rich of which he devours making him stronger.
