I like the cherry on top of this cake, it just adds this little extra note.

Of course, the colouring is unusual as well, but everything is possible with dyestuffs these days. In fact, my gf once baked a cake that was pink. XD

Much smoother

Well, this piece is a nice smooth form for a cake, with a strange colour scheme and a weird array of additional "goodies" sprouting out at intervals. I'm not sure what to make of the nutritional value, but in a setting, such as Mario World, it probably isn't that much of an issue.

The same thing as with the Mushroom, this piece is bereft of a background, so I'll expect to see this randomly cropping up in future images, only shrunk down and almost hidden, as per "Where's Wally" or something of that ilk.

Of course, this could be a stepping stone for your productions in the form of flash or games. I'd love to see you incorporate it into those as some sort of Easter egg, for example.

The last piece of cake! Whoooo wants it?

Once again, much like the mushroom, this is very good. The shading is great and the colors you chose work very well, plus this one is a lot less rough around the edges, but up by the cherry it's still a bit pixelated. I don't think the rough look looks very good and if I were you I'd try to smooth those edges out somehow, most likely by shrinking the image.

I keep seeing people refer to this as "pixel art" but I'm quite confused by that because every thing I've ever made period is pixel art, but none of it looks rough like this...it's only when you zoom in on the image or make it large that the edges are noticeable like that, so maybe you could fill me in on the scoop with that...Isn't anything drawn on a computer pixel art...period?

Anyway, it looks like a pretty good cake! Keep up the good work.
