A whole month since I've posted a picture, lol. Been kinda lazy. I've also picked up LoL again, and I'm tryin to get to plat for the border before the season ends.

I'm back in school now though. It's been kind of retarded. I pretty much failed my first Calculus test, (it wasn't even for my Calculus class, it was for a Physics class) So I gotta get to work on learning this stuff, or risk getting murdered by my mother.

But I decided to draw a picture anyway, since it's been so long, lol. I wanna work on getting better at too, because my friends and I are planning a Japan trip next year during spring break, and it's going to cost quite a bit of money. So I'm hoping to maybe get good enough to start up commissions to help pay for it. I'm probably still going to have to get a job though :/ But it'll be worth it.

Anyway, this image came into my head while I was listening to some songs, and I wanted to depict it. It isn't exactly what I saw in my head, but, it was the best I could do, so yeah, lol. I tried to make her hair look really wet, but I don't know if I accomplished it well enough.

Tips, comments, criticism, advice... anything is well appreciated
Thank you in advance, :D

This picture is so very sad--it took a few minutes for my sympathy to dissipate enough that I could actually consider your technique. Good work conveying the emotion. Try adding drops of water to the top of her head or water dripping off the ends of the hair. Perhaps making her sleeves look wet by making them darker would help as well. The glow around the head is a good effect. The position of her left arm shows that she is being led away rather than walking, which helps one interpret the picture--was it intentional or just how you saw it in your mind?
I wonder what song(s) provided inspiration.... if you find more joyful music and enough time, you should consider making a happier sequel. I, for one, would really like to see her feeling better.

Twiddis responds:

Haha, thanks, glad you liked it so much. Invoking emotion is definitely one of my goals when it comes to drawing. I'm glad you felt that way.

Thanks for your comments and advice! I'd like to see her happy too.

For some strange reason this piece gives me a sense of anxiety when I look at it. I think it is her face. She seems to be melting away; her mouth being open gives me this feel. I like the pastel colors. You should add a nose, it may fix the weirdness about her face I am seeing, her mouth being open looks very frightening without a nose.

That's just me, though.

Twiddis responds:

I really wish I could see or feel this anxiety you get from my picture! I wanna fix it so badly, lol. I wanted her to be kind of silently crying out, which is why I made her mouth the way it is. Maybe it is a little too much.

Thank you for your comments :D
