Wazzup Newgrounds, I'm back for my monthly (sadly) drawing, lol. It's been a while, and I'm not as fixated on getting better as I was in the summer. There's just too much to worry about with college applications n stuff going on. Not to mention I'm pretty much failing all my classes (not really), but yeah. It's tough. I'm still not 100% sure on what I wanna become when I grow up. I think I've decided on becoming a video game developer, so I think I'm going to apply to Digipen. I heard it was a good school for that kinda thing. I'll probably become an indie developer, live on the streets, then eventually die. It'll be fun.

So I haven't really been looking up painting and drawing tutorials and tips anymore, so I'm not learning as much, but I still wanna get better so I made another drawing. Sooo, this is what I came up with, lol. It's kinda frustrating when I look at other people's drawings and see how much better their coloring is. And hands... oh my god hands are still hard.

Tips and advice are greatly appreciated

Practice is the way to improve. Better to make one drawing a month than no drawings at all. Also, if you want to make games you should consider collaborating on a game using Newgrounds. It will give you a preview and practice. So I have a few comments. The skirt doesn't appear to have the same length at every place--making it fold a bit and rest on top of the legs would fix that. Also, she apparently sat down and stuffed her legs into her skirt, which is kinda odd. The head seems large to me, and the hair sticks out to one side rather than straight back (but holy cow I would not say something like that directly to a she-demon). With regards to hands--I think if you added knuckles to the base of fingers it might help. Hands aren't perfectly flat. Finally, the glowing in the center of the red eyes does as much to make her seem otherworldly as the wings and fang. It is a nice effect, and like DaffD below, I think she is endearing. And the name made me chuckle. It seems obvious that your drawings are becoming more popular on Newgrounds--keep up the good work!

Twiddis responds:

Yeah, you're absolutely right! I needa push myself more to improve. The biggest wall for me, I guess, is getting frustrated at my rate of improvement. I guess I'm a pretty impatient guy, so when I can't draw as well as I imagine it in my head, or when something on the canvas looks like it's not right and I can't get it to be right, I get frustrated and give up. I'm pushing myself more and more to get better though, so I'm working on it, lol.
