Author Comments

This is my entry for COW#89, which I didn't complete in time due to loss of motivation and the Comic Jam. It was almost finished, however, so I decided to upload it rather than waste the effort.

Description:
The Collosal Carp begins life as a tiny fry, but after collecting billions of plankton grows to a such a size where it is unable to fit in the shallow waters that makes its habitat.

Rather than dying by being too large, it beachrd itself across two neighbouring islands. By pure evolutionary chance, inhabitants have learnt to use the carp as a means to cross the water.

However, rather than forming a bridge (since the fish needs to be submerged to survived) the carp flings travellers across with a flick of its tail and accurately transports them onto its tongue. In return, the traveller offers food to the carp, such as chickens or fish, otherwise they are wrapped in the tongue and swallowed whole.
