A consistent criticism of my illustrations from artists I respect is that the line quality is not expressive. Micron pens lend themselves to lines of uniform, consistent quality, so there's little room for variation, so I do understand the criticism. However, I promise that it's not because I'm incapable of utilizing varying line quality to convey or reinforce ideas of weight or dimension. The point in drawing hair the way that I do has been an exploration of weight and dimension as conveyed by a collection of lines in unison - The closeness of the lines at each curl and bend of the hair, as I'm learning, can convey an amazingly subtle amount of depth.
All in good fun!

don't get me wrong, I absolutely love your stuff and I think you're a million times my level- but you really do repeat the long flowing curly hair thing way too much.
Haha, thanks. I honestly don't mind the criticism. I draw the hair that way because I really love doing it. And I'm not out to please anybody else, so I'm just doing what I enjoy.
