In my opinion, you should make it less monster-like, but give it a hint of zombie. Frozen zombies are pretty scary! But if it's a random monster-dragon-thing, with a random block of ice on it's back, eeeh, not very scary.
Still, good concept, nonetheless. I like how it's hiding behind the meat there, and I love the color choice for this. Be amazing if those were the colors in the actual game, since they're so reminiscent of ice and metal. Very cold and bright but with dark undertones near the boss, very nice!
My drawing skills aren't as good as yours so I just did what I could. I would love for you to touch up my concepts adding your touch. though keep in mind the game is playing with more silhouettes than actual detail. but I do like your monsters better. especially the swamp level ones
On the project forums I have my ideas of how the level will go and figure the blocks of ice will help serve as obstacles when trying to sneak past the butcher. I also have his script written out.
when I think of nightmares I picture pitch black shadows with one or two distinguishing features so I used your ice burg on the back and a cleaver.
you should check out the forums and let your ideas be known more though lol :P we miss you lol also will be holding Skype meetings soon.

I was kinda intending for it to be an almost limbo style game only with different atmosphere to the different nightmares. if that makes any sense. all though the idea of everything being sketches seems interesting as well.
