Nice balance. Very visually pleasing. I just don't like the variations in edges. (The text has soft edges, the star and pumpkins and ghosts have very hard edges, and everything else is somewhere in between.)

Cover art I drew for the upcoming horror anthology from the Writers of Newgrounds, titled "The Eternal Suffering." Done on Sketchbook Express.
Some notes:
1) I decided to go for a simple two-colour theme. I hope it works.
2) The comet is today seen as a sign of hope, but it was an archaic omen of death and destruction. Heck, up till the early 20th century people were believing in silly things about comet tails sucking the air out of the planet. It was this archaic use that I chose to emulate here.
3) This thing is likely rated M because there are impaled corpses, heads on pikes atop a castle tower, a guillotine... I don't think this stuff should even be rated T.
4) Then there's a little bit of stereotypical Halloween fare, though it now looks spooked, negative, horrified.
5) That's not a font. That's my own handwriting.
The text looks weird because of its soft edges in comparison to all the hard edges on everything else. The composition is lacking. I like the colours.
