This is a cute character! Colored rather well, and I'm impressed on how well you did her wings! I love the assortment of flowers you drew and colored.

Perchance one dreams of being a beautiful bee queen, just like every girl at some point in their lives dreams of being a queen or princess, and being loved by the people around them.
A dream that, sadly, for our bee queen here, will never come true.
This was originally intended for the Bee Creative! art contest, but I only ever knew this contest existed just THREE DAYS before the blooming deadline, when the Staff announced it on the frontpage. I sat down to work on the drawing almost nonstop, with Seán pleading with me to either stop or take a break, so that I might spend some time by his side.
This drawing never got finished by the deadline. In fact, all I even had were works in progress, and the judges, in making their decision, saw little (or no) merit in them.
I only finished it two days after the deadline, on 3 October, after feeling dejected and believing myself to be no more than an awful artist who pretended to be able to draw. Seán begged me to finish this drawing *only for him* -- he thought it better than the world, even in its infant stages. I worked continuously on it then, but threatened never to put it online. After all, if this drawing got rejected in its infancy, what hope has it to be accepted when it is whole? -- but he asked me to put it up.
I am doing this out of love for him. He coined the title 'Sweet Regina!' too.
This piece of crap, which I doubt is beautiful, is at least going on one wall. I suppose I can be grateful for it, that someone would accept what little talent I have.

You have a nice style, and I love your choices for colors in this image. They all complement together nicely and overall the image is very "golden" - fitting for a queen bee!
My only complaint is that the image is overall kinda 'busy' and 'flat' because the layers don't stand apart well and your shading is flat. Simply making the background darker might help with that, but I don't know if I really want to recommend that.
Depending on the effect you are going for, though, the "busy" and "flat" feel could be positive aspects of the artwork. I quite like the image just as it is.

You are a lucky to have Seán. Appreciate him. Tell him I said Hi. Actually, I like your work in progress. There is always merit towards that. I find behind the making of it more interesting than the finished results. Cause you don't give up. You keep going. Something like Rocky Balboa. I got the chills. Anyway, good job on this.
