A rehash of my first submission on NG which isn't a sketch.
In homage to those whose children are reaped and sent to die.
A few years back I started on the very first story meant to take place in Sauveterre, namely the National Service Journal. The premise behind it was that in an oppressive regime, children and young people were treated as no more than expendable goods. Young people were reaped for conscription, and many never returned alive. I drew four people in there representing four different companies, but the emotion in there was that of fright, worry, anger and subsequent insubordination.
"Ne me mori facias" is Latin for 'do not let me die', which is likely what would be going on in the characters' minds.
