The Power of the Sin'orei

Share

For those of you who are not familiar with world of Warcraft, here is a Brief Explination of who the Sin'Dorei are, from wowwiki.

"Those now known as blood elves (aka Sin'dorei or sin'dorei which means "children of the blood" in Thalassian) were once high elves. In the transition that led to this renaming, they glorified their civilization while discarding their honor. Life for the blood elves changed during the Third War, when King ArthasâEUTMs Scourge sacked QuelâEUTMThalas and shattered the elven race. The Scourge slew more than 90% of the high elven population, devastating their culture. Prince KaelâEUTMthas Sunstrider was studying magic in Dalaran at the time of the disaster. When he heard what had happened, he quickly returned home and took command of the survivors. KaelâEUTMthas renamed them âEUoeblood elvesâEU in honor of their fallen kin. Prior to the SunwellâEUTMs destruction, all high elves everywhere were constantly bathed in its magical power. Now bereft of this arcane energy, the blood elves (and high elves) suffered. KaelâEUTMthas claimed that they would soon die without another magical source to replace the Sunwell. The blood elves therefore set about learning to drain magic from alternative sources. "

I spent many hours with this artwork, was even afraid to post it being the perfectionist I can be. The line work on this artwork alone must have taken 10 hours, trying different stances, and weapons and adjusting. The Robes were 100% unique in pattern, with no references used. I tried to design the lower half to look like a beast with open fangs and glowing eyes. Stuck mostly with Blood elf colors for the color scheme. The staff was also made by myself, I think it turned out quiet nicely.

So the work put in to texture and Coloring, oh boy.. Thats the part that too the longest, I didnt want this artwork to look to cartoony, so messed around alot with textures and shading, and light reflecting. Im worried at the size the artwork is now, people wont notice all the tiny little detains i tried to put in, specialy on things like the Weapon. I worked really hard on this artwork, I just hope people can appreciate it.

As always, I have a song for this piece. The Song is "Lament of the high bourne" sung by Lady Sylvannas, formerly a High elf her self, but now a Banshe Queen thanks to Arthas's attack on the Sin'Dorei's home. You can
