I know I usually make very colorful art, but this time I felt like using some dull, dusty, "mousy" colors.

Works out well

Colors are fun and all, but in some cases, it doesn't really fit. This being one of them.

The image of this little boy, with traits of a mouse, really wouldn't be the same with colors. Right now it's somewhat sad, but cute. I really like the use of colors and the shading you did. The one source of light is really good.
