personally i like the kind of artwork that makes me question what the artist was thinking when they created it

"coat hanger."

if you view it for what it is (a coat hanger) it's not much.
if you view it for what it could be (a refance to a movie, or abortion "doctors") it can have a profound meaning.
the wire hanger was used to termanate a pregancy, when doctor asisted abortions were illegal. just as many women died from these "procedures".
the "Mommy Dearest" line of "no wire hangers!!" is more so about child abuse.
the art itself is not much, but how can you detail a coat hanger? it's bloody, so one could surmise that it is an pro-choice petition. then again, it could be anti-child abuse. it's up to the viewer to see.
but then one can therorize that a fetus is a child, so therefore an abortion IS child abuse. it will always be in debate. there isn't a black and white answer. this is a choice that is influinced by culture, religion, up bringing, politics, and normalicy.
what is right, what is wrong? if you termenate a pregancy because a woman was raped, is it right. if you termenate a pregancy because you can't aford a child, for what ever reason, is it wrong.
there are lots of grey areas in this case.
when does disipline become abuse? if you draw blood, is it abuse? what about a bruse, is it still abuse or does it boarder disipline?
personally, kids need a smack up-side their heads now-a-days. parents need to keep them in check. children learn violence and disipline at home first, not at school, or on t.v., but at home.
words can cut deeper than any slap across the face.
so yes, it is a coat hanger, to hang clothes, or a coat, tie, belt, etc. or it can be a tool to injure someone or something.
up to the person holding it, really.
