Drawing thoughts from another review... why the axe and the boot? I found the monochrome image a perfect portrayal of so many emotions of excess without the modern ties. I say this having just embarked on creating a dungeons & dragons villain rooted in carnage and destruction. I sought out death metal lyrics as an inspiration and of course gravitated to Cannibal Corpse. Everything about the lower half of your piece is apparent to me as the contemporary symbols of this. Though, as with my character, these symbols are of something far darker and complex than mere destruction.... I guess, I personally would prefer to indulge in the symbolism than the gritty reality...

I like the poses for each character in the drawing. The method used for drawing looks nice, too. Also love the way you shaded as well.
