The reflection in the cave

Edit: Fixed the lighting since the photo didn't do the color justice...

Sequel to The Mirror.

It is the fatalist who enjoys the idea of two damaged people limping together and destroying each other. However this idea is selfish as few people are an island. Whatever happens to someone has a ripple effect towards those they know/love. The romantic interest of mutual self destruction is stupid, and the only reason those who suffer through that problem believe it is because they've let others and themselves convince their heart that it's the only solution. No one likes the reflection, but what are you going to do about it? What about you loved one, what will you both do with it?
The last step that boarders death is a complete self destruction before turning yourself around, sometimes the significant other will see that and try to better themselves for the sake of the other. It doesn't work all the time, and usually those types of personalities end up terrible. Rarely it works, and those type of people aren't as appreciated as they should.

What tools do you use when creating your work? A paintbrush, easel, perhaps?

linda-mota responds:

a real crappy easel, canvas, acrylics and shitty brushes that need changing real soon!

Nice sequel, limping together ...expressive indeed, nice colors and comp. bravo!

linda-mota responds:

thanks man! :)

This is worth waking up to, something good to tell you your not asleep anymore, your awake, as is the world, and shit happens. It is well done, the painting and the message of it.

It really does draw you in. Clearly this is an ambitious piece, the depth looks good, though I'm straining to see their reflection in water. It's like the opposite of what would happen by touching the edge of shallow water: normally the distortion is greater near the point of entry, and smoother farther out. Everything else is without question and lovely to stare at.

linda-mota responds:

I think if it does that i'm doing something right..
