Nosferatu

Share

I don't care what anyone says, Count Orlock (Nosferatu 1922) is one of the creepiest, if not scariest vampires ever. I recently got to watch Shadow of the Vampire (2000) It's about a what if situation. What if the director of Nosferatu was so obsessed with making the most realistic vampire movie he hired a real vampire. It's a must watch. Both movies.

Easily one of the best piece's of art on this site. I love the pencil look and like
Mortchen said it does look like some thing out of a Tim Burton film.

Wait a minute, if that was you on the phone and you on the bus, then who was flickering the lights?

I love that Tim Burton feel...

Nice

So its always a pleasure to see stuff like this they are both artistic and show off the Artists visions and skills, and with this particular piece you did present someneat and differant so i had some pleasure in revieing this, so nice effort here. Nosferatu was always a fave of mine, me and my other half at the time would watch alot of of these old classics such as what you were saying, But this was actually a really good rendition of the old but classic vampire, and leaving it in black and white is just the perfect touch, allthough you could spice thngs up with a touch of red "BLOOD" like on the tip of his fangs and such, it would be a nice little touch to cap this off and wouldnt take away too much away from theblack and white theme, but anyways good work on this classic rendition, I look forward to more. So that was a good art piece, some areas could be more creative but i do understand the direction with this, it was a pretty good presentation and something differant, so nice work here.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
So how can this be improved well lots of things can but you have to take into effect of the artists view and direction, so my opinion with this is just to suggest few ideas maybe one or two may find its way into the piece or a future piece, so give some new ideas a try.

I'm finally done!

This is another awesome picture because it captures the spirit of the scariest vampire ever. It's mostly because his apperance with the grotesque head and teeth are so frightening. I am not quite sure if this character is the same as Dracula. I heard some say that "Noseferatu" was actually an alias of Dracula. As this picture was done in black and white, you captured just how well he looked in the movie. It's kind of sad how people don't appreciate good movies that are really old.

Granted, modern film techniques are better but these are still classics. I think he may have the longest nails/claws of any character you have ever drawn. He appears to have blood running out of his mouth. It is a relief to finally have a look and review every single one of your art pieces. You are the first person with whom I have ever done that with.

Thank you so much for all of your reviews you've done on all of my artwork! They've been very helpful and way too kind for someone like me. ^_^
You'll never be done, I'm constantly putting up more art almost every week. I really appreciate what you've done.

I do agree, I end up meeting a lot of people who dislike silent films and classics on the basis of "they're old" or excuses like that.
