I can't remember if I was dreaming or not but I saw another figure. It was in my room. I was not able to identify the gender, but it looked feminine. It was near my bed. I couldn't tell if it was looking at me, there were no facial features. I blinked and it was gone.

I combined this with some childhood nightmares of these figured coming after me and screaming. Trying to asphyxiate me. I never felt the pressure of the figure as it gripped my throat in the nightmare or reality.

I gave it a feel of dark and put the original figure I saw behind a door, giving the idea that there was no way out.

So scream. No one can hear you.
