Wow, what a deranged creation

I admire this picture a lot because of how bold it manages to be by being so brutal. I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to depict, but it's powerful. I'm guessing it might be making fun of how children get involved in war or something? The colors are just fantastic in this. It's a bit too hard to even tell what's going on, but the sketch just looks so good. I like how this kid's face just seems to be stretching in every position. It's like he has half a nose, a displaced left eye, and either another eye or a tumor in his hand.

He seems to be just jumping out of something that I don't know. I think it might even be the canvas himself that he is shrinking into. Whatever the intention, it creates a very intidimating and grotesque picture. The shadow and lines seem to be cracks or perhaps rips in the actual paper. Those big cheeks are pretty scary too.
