I think that...
The meaning is our nation (flag) is being torn apart because our soldiers left a terrible mark in another country we had no business in invading in the first place (bloody hand prints) thus putting our country in a position where we have to take care of this so called (infant country) until it can take care of itself again, yes i am American.
