"Project NERO MK I, the prototype of a sentient mech unit capable of great destruction, it can achieve this through it’s large arsenal, including an extendable claw hand, a powerful drill and a laser mounted on it’s face.

One of the main design concepts was speed and maneuverability, for this reason Project NERO was awarded very long and slender legs, another design choice was that it should be capable of observing as much of it’s environment as possible, this is why it has three visual sensors with different alignments.

So yeah, I entered this contest a tad bit late and therefore I feel obliged to apologize for the substandard quality. (well, I *did* create a mech in 4 days, I should’ve used at least a week or more)

Anyway, rendered at 2x full HD at 30 samples, the ‘bot is somewhere around 3M tris, I’ll check the exact amount if anyone is interested, on another note this was my first attempt at sculpting (ever) and my first robot (^o^)/" - from my description of the competition entry, did I mention that this was my entry to a competition?

Oh and it should be worth noting that this was a nice speedmodel, I only spent around half the time those four days :P
