Character design, fairly simple, nothing fancy.

Veruschsperson (Experimental Subject) 11 is his designation, if that was not obvious.
Made in Photoshop CS4.

AWSOME!!

it looks like it could've existed, and i know you might not have based it on Deus Ex (hte newest one) but the mechanical limbs look like steam-punk versions of the one's from that game!

Frighteningly realistic

You have quite a singular talent for depicting historical subjects. Even though Herr Müller, or 'Versuchsperson 11' is fictional (thankfully), the details in his appearance and uniform-both before, and after the terrible transformation seem almost lifelike, as if you based the illustration off a very detailed photograph.

The viewer can clearly see the resemblance between the original appearance of Müller and the altered state, particularly in the eyes, which seemseem to be filled with an almost palpable level of anguish despite their inhuman glare. The mechanical details look convincingly 1940-esque. Almost makes one wonder what Müller did to merit such a mutation... perhaps the Reich thought that a little thing like death shouldn't end a soldier's' commitment?

Any plans to expand on this concept? I would love to see a comic or graphic novel based around this character. You downplay your work by saying it is nothing fancy--to me, it is one of the more memorable pieces I have seen on this site.

I'm surprised people like this, I always have trouble looking at my older pieces. I do still like this character, and have at times thought out his story, but never thought to do a graphic novel/comic, though I really like that idea.
I'll play around with that, thanks!
