The above work reminds me alot of Maschinen Krieger.

I only found out that Maschinen Krieger existed earlier this year, and it is the coolest shit I know of. It's definitely an influence on how I imagine and draw mecha.
These characters are very catchy!
It would be a great idea to make a cartoon show out of this.

Love that sort of stuff, but I've never heard of Robot Carnival before, it looks awesome. I just watched the opening short, which looks like it was done in part by Katushiro Otomo, which was great, I'll have to watch this sometime!
It reminds me so much of Moebius and Geof Darrow, which means this is just fucking great!
