This painting describes how our comfort and life depends on other living things and creatures and how we all are bound to that system.

So Spaketh the Slaughterer

I like the overall tone of this piece. I feel contemplative when I look at it as well as comforted and restless. I think the imagery suites your meaning well.

I like the limited color pallet as I think more would have detracted and less would have left me wanting. I particularly like the fact that you left the background chaotic and abstract as the emphasis should be on figures of man, tree, and bird and what you meant them to represent, though I must admit that at first I didn't understand the meaning you had in mind when you made it. [Sometimes the meaning you give something doesn't translate to the person you view it but I think that the states of dependency, comfort, and the weight of being tied together were portrayed well. The feel is what I noticed first and foremost anyway, and I think art should make people feel something.]

I really love the concept.

The painting looks a little incomplete to me, if you don't mind me saying...

The mood is just right here! The swirl is the confusion we experience while being bound to this, and the bird seems to not want to be there but has nowhere else to land.
