Pretty impressive imo :o the shadow was a nice touch, and I particularly like how his tabard's decoration looks.
The only minor grumble I can come up with is that the background seems not to fit as well as it could. If it'd been beige/green, like the Oolacile environs where you find him? Alternatively, maybe the underground prison/tomb with some easy-to-sketch humanity ghosties piling up? It just looks slightly weird to me as is. *shrug* Maybe he's about to home run a Crystal Soul Spear.

Tried for the first time paintig on one layer only. Well not sure how good was the idea but the result is quite pleasing. Any ideas how on what or how can I improve ?

Oh, I can try adding that. That gradient is on a layer and it can be easily replaced. Why did I choosed that instead of something else. Well I'm kinda working on a project and I had limited time. Even with how it is took me long hours to color. A fancy bg wil only add to that struggle.
I needed something like a concept art for my project ( is non art related but I found an excuse to use something like this).
But hey , thanks for the idea. Imma try to use those to make it better when I'll find the time ^-^
