Oi vay, this hits a little too close to home. XD I assume this is satire of the new "Pikmin" game, yeah? I just discovered the series and I adore "Pikmin 3", so hearing the news about the new 2D side-scrolling was a bit of a letdown, although it looks decent enough as a spin-off.
Actually, now that I think about it, "Endless Ocean Amiibo Adventure" sounds awesome.

Inspired by some of Nintendo’s recent trend to make a ton of cheap spinoffs. I know they are killing time until the NX but man these cheap spinoffs and amiibo shoehorning has got to stop. : P

Not entirely. It's more based on the Chibi Robo 3DS spinoff game and other mid tier Nintendo spinoff's and amiibo tie in's they have been making lately. Tho Pikmin is the one that reminded me of Chibi Robo.
I'm actually looking forward to Pikmin 3D, it looks like there might be more depth to the gameplay than some of their recent 2D platforming spinoffs!
