Not sure if this is technically allowed here, as it is photography, but since its of something i made, I'm willing to at least take that risk. If it needs to be taken down, sorry for the inconvenience.

This was EXTREMELY fun to make, I'll definitely be doing some weirder sculptures/puppets at a later date. After working with dead fish for puppets, its interesting to do puppetry with something that isn't so smelly and meaty. Here's some not so fun facts, in case anyone wanted to know.

1. The jacket on the model is exactly the same as a jacket i have, it was made out of the pockets of it that i accidentally tore out when i stretched/yawned way too hard.

2. The mouth is directly from one of my all time favorite Francis Bacon paintings, Head I (1948).

3. The shirt is a conglomerate of Metro tickets, Pet Store Receipts, Electrical cord warning labels, and oily rags. Also, i made part of his side torn up, due to the weird shape of the body.

I really like the use of found objects...

It's like upcycling at it's best.

Very interesting and 'unique' looking little puppet.

I am especially liking his 'name' and one M&M eye! --- He must be sweet, as he's made with choccy.

sugarpolyp responds:

Ah, thank you very much! To be honest, i had never heard of up cycling before this post.

Haha, thanks! Yeah, funnily enough, the M&M eye is the one piece on the thing thats been able to sustain the most damage throughout shooting schedules. I guess it makes sense though, those things can sit for years in a perpetual limbo inside/under couches and other crevices, so why not in a puppets head?

Cool as cool

that looks really cool what is the body made out of just your typical clay,? hit me up

sugarpolyp responds:

Oh man, sorry for the late response! Yeah, the base of the model is built of sculpey, which is fairly typical sculpting material. You could probably find it at any art supply store.

Creapy

Looks cool. If you had some more pics of the puppet up close, that would be nice.

sugarpolyp responds:

Ah yeah, i would, but my my cellphone isn't too good for close up shots. If i get a chance to get some better shots though, i definitely will.
