Ever read Bokurano? This artwork made me think about that. Bokurano is a great story and this is great work in itself.

There is something in this that makes me feel uneasy, but it is a great picture and it's very well done.

dont see why, whats more calming than a life-ending manifestation of darkness obscuring your entire civilization.
the lighting effects really give this scene a moody, but ambigous feeling of evil, gloom, and innocence. The colors give the feeling that the "monster" has no intention of destroying, but has no control over his massive size. Ths shadows cast off by him also show how gigantic he is.

awesome, i really didn't want him to look deliberately evil. more like massive guy from grapes of wrath that kept accidentally smooshing rabbits :C
Reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus albeit with a darker outlook. Perhaps you should make a graphic novel?
