I recently watched all of the Heroes series and thought I would do a few portraits while the show was still fresh in my mind. I was especially captivated by Samuel's smooth performance in the last season. (actor Robert Knepper) I loved his outfit when I first saw the reference photo but by the end of the 14th hour of painting this I wasn't as impressed, ha ha! Striped shirts won't be on my list of projects again for awhile!

I really enjoyed painting this with my bamboo and Gimp Paint Studio(GPS), 14 hrs.
All my works have specific watermarks, you won't find them, so don't steal my work. I can and will prove it's mine if you do attempt it.

I thought it was fantastic

So first off this was fantastic, really life like and real like a real photo, its real-ness is just uncanny hehe, anyways i myself have watched heros the first 2 or 3 seasons and i need to get caught back up on them, as i dont remember this guy, but you have done a remarkb;e job, now i would have loved some sorta glow comming from behind him, but really what you have here is already brilliant and doesnt need any more effects and or changes too it, so all im going to say is fantastic job.
~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
So as noted above, its very realistic too the real actor so really awsome job there, i did mention to give him a sorta glow from behind more of an effect then anything else, but other then that this was vey good stuff.

What?!
Dude, at first I didn't understand why this was so highly rated, when it just seemed to be a photograph. I was impressed beyond imagination to find out that it was actually not a photograph at all, but a drawing! I'm going to say right now, I know nothing about "Heroes". It's actually kind of sad how that show seemed to lose its popularity fast. I'm still appreciative of people like you who make great artwork like this. I simply can not tell it is a picture used with Photoshop of any kind.
I guess the only part that looks cartoonish are his eyes. You should make more flawless pictures like this and try to work it out at an art auction. Make sure it isn't fanart or anything, so you won't have to worry about copyright problems. The way each hair and wrinkle is done is completely flawless. Anyone can appreciate what an utter masterpiece this is! The fourteen hours were well worth it, friend!
