Toph in 3 DEEEE

This is my very first 3D character. All low poly. This was also the first Time I've ever unwrapped something which is cool. I'll be rigging her and may do a short animation or something ;)

Great

Toph is my favorite character from the show except for, perhaps, Iroh. I would love to see a more detailed character in the future.

its pretty good for first 3D char and dont mind the guy that is complaining about dirty feet, cus he doesnt know toph always walks on her barefoot thats why they are dirty no shoes for her!

Wasn't as great.

I know it's supposed to be a doll of some sort, but come on, you can do much better. The effects were lacking the white background disintegrates the shadows and makes it look like it's blending into the flash. It also doesn't look really like Toph, and the neck makes the head look like it's about to fall right off x_o. Also, It wasn't so hard to add nails and toenails right? Why didn't you add them? It gives the art a much better tone to it. Besides, the first one looked like it was stepping on the picture, that's why it made the feet look squished. Was that really necessary? I really wouldn't criticize this much, but it just lacks so much things you could've added to it. However, i did like your effort in making this 3D, and since it was your first one, i wouldn't be so harsh on you, so i gave you a 7 :). Great job nonetheless.

To answer some of your questions as to why the detail is so low. I didn't want to make this to complex. I wanted to keep it as simple as I possible can. If I kept her simple I can also keep the environment simple when I animate her.
Once I get the hang of this I'll start modeling at photo levels ;)

Well...I guess it's alright.

But why do the feet look so...dirty

But then again I've seen better. Not to mention I never watched the show oh well you did alright.

Thanks for commenting. To anwser your question as to why her feet are dirty. I did that cuz in the show she dosn't wear any shoes and her feet are dirty anyway. I added that bit of detail in cuz I thought it would be necessary.
