Wow such incredible detail! You're obviously a keen observer when you draw, you have balance in things large and small, in maintaining the overall porportions and composition, whilst still giving great detail and attention to small intricacies like wringles, eyes, etc. I feel like the image quality is the main letdown here; try cropping it properly, and maybe do some light retouching after you scan it to the computer. Overall great work! keep it up

This is my great grandmother. She's one of the nicest people I've ever met. I think I really captured the likeness with this one. More so than my other portraits at least. I did a bad job with the hair though. The thing is she has these very thin, fine hairs that are difficult for me to credibly suggest on paper.
Materials used: 2H pencil, F pencil, kneaded eraser, grained paper

Older people are so great to draw, their faces tell their story.
