As I love thunders, bolts and lightnings I wanted to make this art. Hope you enjoy!

3D was ruined by 2D

Well, I was encouraged by the background and the purple tinge to the lightning, being nicely offset by the moon itself. That's the real beauty of the piece.

This piece sadly has one major flaw, which is where the two-dimensional tower stabs into the picture, really taking something away from it - there is little indication of perspective, as if the building was three dimensional. Don't underestimate this, as the lack here really hurts the overall impression that the tower gives to the rest of the image.

Where you seem to have done something along the lines of the perspective, you've mucked it up - try getting the tower ever so slightly side on, so you see two faces. Remember, if one is in view, the one behind it won't be on a square plan building. The roofing sections have let you down and working to resolve them would help a lot, along with showing a little of the left or right side of the building.

Play about with it and see what you can produce.

Thanks, I also liked the purple lightning I made :)

The difference beetween 2D to 3D space probably happened because the light effects I leaved in some spherical area, and the clounds in the backgrounds, thanks for tell me about this piece.

Yeah leaving 2 faces would turn the building more into 3D but for some reason I think I kinda prefer in this ~2.5D vision.

Thanks again for review :)

Improvement needed, but hey

Hey Spysociety,

--Production--
It's fairly good, with some minor difference between the quality of the lightning bolt, the tower itself, and the other elements. I like the clear cut lines of the tower, but I feel that the rest of it should be that way, since the lightning is a bit blurred. It even seems as if it's moving in front of my eyes. (Gotta stop drugs :P)

--Experience--
Dark and gloomy, with an epic fantasy feel to it (and I'm not talking about the game). I wonder if there's even people living in there, and if they would need to evacuate since the lightning is getting dangerously close. Nice light and smoke effects make this more ambient and atmospheric, as if at a great height.

--Style--
The mood of the piece is dark and well portrayed, however I think there's a large contrast between shadows and different light effects. For example, the light band diagonally across the bottom right doesn't really seem to fit in, unless it's a cloud really close up. There isn't much detail in the tower, either, it could be improved by some texture effects beyond a simple light gradient.

--Wow Factor--
I wasn't exactly excited about this art, but I wasn't repulsed either. It's fair art that needs a few tweaks, and perhaps something else interesting to look at. Because right now it's just a tower and some lightning, with a lot of empty space in the bottom right corner. You could possibly have a plane or helicopter, or even a guy parachuting. It would make things really interesting.

--Personal Tilt--
I like it, but I think it could be improved. You could add some elements, add texture to the tower e.g. stone bricks, put some more interesting and logical light effects in, and it would be extremely professional. It's still professional now, but I could see this reaching the sky with potential. Excuse the pun ;)

Well, I think you're a bit right, I thought adding a bit of light in the building sides but it would be a bit too colorful, I prefered to have the things a bit more dark.

Hey thanks! Glad you liked it! :) As you can see, there are some windows "yellow-ish" which probably means that there is someone using light there, so there is people inside hehe :)

Yeah I guess that I could improve on it ;)

I think that the bricks aren't necessary at all, isn't a "poor" building, he is more well constructed so the bricks like "out of place" aren't at all necessary but the light optics effects could improve it more.

Thanks for review!

Looking good!

My only critic would be that the different art styles are not consistent, there's the lightning that looks a pixelated image, the building that looks like vector graphics, various very clean gradients and a moon that also looks like an image so while the image is nice, you can see it's been "patched together"
Still cool!

Haha true, this happened because I had to get some images from the internet. What you can see that is vectorial, are my things, as the building, building light, FX, background, sky, etc..

I really think that the lightning looks awesome pixelated, because being vectorial it would looks really smooth and a bit unreal.

Yeah the moon wasn't my best, I just wanted to do the holes that there is on it.

Thanks for like it! I really appreciate!! :D
Thanks again!

Nice and dark feel

Seems to have a great feel as a dark piece honestly. I kind of get a feel as if the lights were going to go off and something was going to start stalking everyone in the building while slowly killing them off one at a time so they can't fight together.

The dark colors and lighting seem to go great together as well. The moon in the corner sending off the lightning is a bit weird though. Maybe a mistake overlooked while doing the artwork I take it? Anyways, it doesn't seem to take away anything from the dark atmosphere in the drawing.

Nice work here.

Haha yeah it is a bit dark but this was my method. Because to create the glow from the thunders I wanted to do everything dark so I can light the background creating shadows, glows, etc. Plus this is just an art about bolts, something that I like.

Thanks for like the coloring, also about the moon, I didn't wanted a poor moon, like just a sphere with some light, I wanted to look how really a moon looks like. As you can see there are the holes from it. :)

"Nice work here."
Thanks, I really appreciate! :)
