This drawing represents the way many people feel confined to a monotonous life. For the past few years I have felt that my life has been somewhat repetitive. I worked at the same job for over five years now, and this is my sixth consecutive year of college. The figure in the work displays a longing for something more, or a greater purpose. The light represents my goals of graduation, finding the job I desire, and forming a family of my own. At this point in time I am withheld behind a fence of preparation. However, I still continue to hold on to my goals and my desire for something more.
